Madison Loblaws (Part 2): Parking is off Lillian Street

The Loblaws store in the Madison Condominium podium is a nicely stocked groceteria but it is also a place for those who work in the Eglinton and Yonge area to grab lunch. There are hot and cold offerings to eat-in or take-out from the Canteen. Tables and chairs with a view of Eglinton have been provided at the northwest corner of the second-floor store. There is a Lavazza Coffee and Gelato bar which serves a pretty good espresso for a $1.94 all in.

PARKING

Parking is off Lillian Street which is one-way south from Eglinton. If you are coming from “south of Eg” it may be best to go north on Dunfield, east on Eglinton and then south on Lillian. In the garage, payment is by license plate number. It appears there is an invisible “coupon” which ensures you won’t be towed even if you don’t pay — at least for now. But you have to punch in your license number. The alphanumeric protocol of the system is only semi-intuitive. When the screen asks “yes or no” it really means one or two.
