A large and militant group of Toronto cabbies known as the United Taxi Drivers Association has promised to shut down Toronto’s downtown streets and expressways next weekend. This is evidently intended to coincide with NBA events scheduled from Friday, February 12 to Sunday February 14,, 2016. The flavour of this anger is heard in the brief video shot at the Woodbine Banquet Hall Sunday. The issue is Uber, about which City Council seems to have pretty much thrown up its hands in despair, or possibly surrender.
