The mother of a 7-year-old daughter was not playing in front of her semi-detached home on Moore Ave. Friday morning (July 24, 2015). That’s when two cars collided at Moore and Mt. Pleasant Rd. sending one of them, a Kia, crashing into the corner the home. It wrecked a brick pillar support of the wooden veranda. There is precious little space between the roaring traffic on Mt. Pleasant and the home. It is like most of the Moore Park homes on Mt. Pleasant between St. Clair and Moore. They all live with the legacy of a decision made more than 65 years ago to widen Mt. Pleasant into a high-speed route to downtown.
