  1. I am so shocked and deeply saddened to learn of Lynn’s demise. I remember so many beautiful moments I spent with Lynn and her two beautiful sons in her stores when her store first opened I believe it was on Bathurst Street, and when she moved to Bayview I still came with friends to buy and also sell things. She was always a joy to be around, and never forgot my face. The last time I was there which was a number of years ago I came into the store with a friend of mine and her daughter who, at the time was about 13 I believe, there was a piano in the store, my friend’s daughter sat on the bench and gave a lovely impromptu recital , so many beautiful memories of Lynn, her boys who I always asked for an update, most of the times, they were in the store. She will be truly missed, such a lovely lovely person.

  2. I’ve been in and out of The Elegant Garage Sale for many years. My condolences to Ms Albert’s family. Hers is a presence that will be missed.

  3. I am one of Mrs. Elegant’s Sons. I came across this article and the posts this morning and, on behalf of our entire family, I extend sincere thanks to the store owners and patrons of Bayview Avenue for so many sources of pleasure that you gave my Mother. The Elegant Garage Sale was integral in allowing her to live as long as she did. Mom looked forward to getting to the store each day to enjoy the action. The legacy lives on as she would want it.

  4. To the Family, and to the Elegant Family – heartfelt sympathy – Lynn was a truly unique Lady – an Origiinal – and she will be missed immensely – Always with a big smile sitting there at the desk in the corner – She always made you feel welcome – whether you bought that day or not – I remember I bought two very unique marble floor lamps – and I sent one of the team from Consolidated to pickup – Andrew put one over each shoulder and headed for the back door – Lynn piped up My goodness – such strength – I should marry you – He got such a chuckle at hearing this voice from the corner that he almost dropped the lamps – so many stories – She always made it fun to shop there – Now I am at a loss for words because what else can one say – just that she will truly be missed!!

  5. I was deeply saddened to learn of Lynn’s passing. She was a wonderful woman. Lynn always greeted you with a lovely smile. I sold alot there and sent many people to Elegant Garage because she was so fair, warm, honest and humble. She will be missed a great deal. To the family – I am deeply saddened by her loss. May her memory be for a blessing
