Nightmarish ordeal of 4-year-old reported by CTV

A father and mother from North York are now charged with failing to provide the necessities of life for a 4-year-old boy. CTV Toronto has said the lad was apparently made to endure a punishment ordeal in which he had to stand against a wall for hours. The case came to light in the early hours of Monday, October 13, 2014 following a call to 9-1-1 to a townhome on Finch Ave. E east of Leslie Street. The 4-year-old was found dead  According to CTV and other media, neighbours say an ambulance arrived at the townhouse around 2:30 a.m. on Monday and two people were led out of the home in handcuffs. Neighbours say the family moved into the townhouse a few months ago, but they never saw the child playing outside. Joel Roberto, 27, and Ravyn Colley, 24 appeared in a downtown Toronto court Tuesday morning. They have been remanded into custody and will make another court appearance on Thursday  CTV
